Testimonials
"We love doing business with Backdrops by Charles Stewart. They are always beautiful, Greg in the office is great, and it is easy pick up and drop off because we are local, but I know they ship too. We just did Peter Pan and the backdrop was perfect!"
"Beautiful drops and great to work with! I definitely recommend Charles H. Stewart to anyone who needs theatrical backdrops!"
"Charles H. Stewart is definitely one of our favorite backdrop companies to rent from! Very responsive, quick shipping, and wonderful quality. Working in television, we often have schedule changes and need things last minute and the people at CHS always work hard to make sure our needs are met. The only tricky part is their hours have shortened due to the pandemic/ However, even when we sent an email inquiry after hours, it was responded to promptly. Thank you for everything!"
"Extremely reliable. Great choice of backdrops. Amazing rental costs. The absolute best customer service!"
"Quality backdrops with some of the best price points around. Easy pickup if local, or will ship. Easy to do business with."

"As I have told you in the past, I had the privilege of knowing Stanley and often visited the warehouse in Somerville, when I worked for various community theatre organizations. He was a scholar and we would have many talks about "the business" and some of the people with whom he had worked over the years. I believe he would be very proud of the way your family has maintained both the business and the inventory since his passing."
"Due to power outage in Visalia CA, our dance recital had to be postponed a day. Thank you Charles for letting us keep our backdrops until tomorrow. They make our show extra special!!"
"The mansion backdrop arrived this afternoon for our "Annie Jr" play next weekend. Thanks for the GREAT service....it looks fantastic and is sure to add to the drama and excitement of a fun production! Many thanks"
"I was introduced to Charles H. Stewart company last year for my high school production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Great selection, great customer service, great price! Currently hoping they have my drops for Hello Dolly!"
"Without the backdrops and many aspects of your job times of celebration, dramas, productions ( the endless list) would not be as great. I will forever appreciate the back ground I rented in 2004, it was so lovely. MADE the whole scene come to life. I am thankful I checked your web site and found the woods/ barn."
"I have never, ever received so many compliments about a backdrop perfectly accompanying one of my shows. Literally scores of people stopped me to comment on it. Thanks for offering such a treasure!"
